As I was talking to the men in the Battalion the other day, I communicated the importance of having a relationship with our Heavenly Father. I was thinking of Galatians 4:9:

“But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?” (ESV)

The kindness of God in the Gospel is shown in God’s inviting us into a relationship with him. We are known by God as a father knows his children, and we get the privilege of getting to know him. Oh that we would ever draw closer to our Father in heaven!
