ALERT’s Fire Academy is a 468-hour class certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection. Throughout the course of training, students will learn structural fire suppression, forcible entry and ventilation, interior search and rescue of fire victims, firefighter rescue and survival skills, fire apparatus operation, management of hazardous materials, and fire science and behavior. The course also offers graduates the opportunity to apply for four IFSAC seals, which are recognized internationally and do not expire.
