“My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night;” Psalm 63:5-6 ESV
It is a consistent thread throughout scripture that we are called to have a daily relationship with God, not just every once in a while. A daily meditation on His word, a daily seeking for His presence, a daily feasting on the Bread of Life, a daily communion with the God of our salvation. These habits require discipline—the consistent daily routine of intentional acts. Are your everyday acts and habits pointing you in the direction of closeness with Christ? Or towards stagnation?
