Alumni Classes
Do you miss your days in the Battalion, or wish you had taken that one class while you were here? Are your single ALERT man days behind you, but you still want to refresh your skills? ALERT’s alumni classes are designed for men who want to earn additional certifications or refresh their skills outside the Battalion training schedule. Each week-long class is designed to complete one certification course, and can be taken either as a new student or to recertify.Â
Please Note: While these classes are open to all ALERT alumni, some classes do require additional prerequisites, which will be noted in each course description.
Dive Training
Rescue Diver
Dates: June 24-29, 2024
Location: Big Sandy, Texas
Cost: $1,250
Class Size: 4-8 Students Â
Prerequisites: Completion of 2nd Phase and the Open Water Dive certification Â
Included: Rescue Diver certification, DAN Medical certification, dive gear rental, meals & lodging, and dive park entrance fees.
Dive Training
Nitrox Diver
This class is a “getaway vacation” for ALERT men. We will be staying in a beach resort in Panama City, FL, diving in some crystal springs, going on a boat dive, playing volleyball, and swimming in the ocean. You are welcome to ride with ALERT transportation from our Big Sandy campus, or fly into Panama City, FL, and meet us there. There is an online component that must be completed before the start date, and you will need to provide your size shirt, weight, and shoe size for this class.
Dates: July 31 – August 5th, 2024
Location: Panama City, Florida
Cost: $2,260
Class Size: 4-8 Students Â
Prerequisites: Completion of 2nd Phase and the Open Water Dive certification Â
Travel: Fly into Panama City, FL on July 31 or leave from Big Sandy, TX around 5 AM on July 31.
Included: Nitrox certification, dive gear rental, transportation to Florida from ALERT, meals & lodging, and dive park entrance fees.
