Volunteer Agreement "*" indicates required fields The International ALERT Academy, hereafter referred to as IAA, is very grateful for the many volunteers who desire to serve others and support the mission of forging extraordinary men who will influence their world for Christ. STATEMENT OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE*I, the undersigned, because I understand and want to support the purpose and mission of the International ALERT Academy (IAA), volunteer to serve, without compensation, in whatever capacity I can be useful. I affirm that IAA nor any of its employees, agents or representatives have at any time promised me any compensation in exchange for my services. Furthermore, I do not desire or expect to receive any compensation for my service. While I appreciate the provision of incidental benefits, which may include lodging and/or meals, I am in no way dependent upon IAA for my livelihood. Neither are any such incidental benefits the motivation for my service, but rather, my motivation is to assist IAA in the furtherance of its mission. I recognize and agree that I will be volunteering on the ALERT schedule, which includes volunteer service outside of office hours (including, but not limited to, mornings, evenings, and/or weekends). Because of this, I recognize and acknowledge that as a condition of my volunteer status, I am required to live on campus for the duration of my volunteer service. I agree that any confidential information provided to me by IAA, or acquired at any point during my time as a volunteer, will remain strictly confidential, even after the end of my time as a volunteer. This includes, but is not limited to, personal student details, personal health histories, student performance details, staff performance details, and any other information generally regarded as confidential that may have been learned during my time as a volunteer. I sign this statement with the intent to document my status as a volunteer serving with the International ALERT Academy.STATEMENT OF VOLUNTEER RELEASE OF LIABILITY*I, the undersigned volunteer, recognize and acknowledge that there are risks to my person and property associated with volunteering for IAA, including but not limited to, loss of property, sickness, physical injury or death resulting from my own actions or the actions of others, including other volunteers. I voluntarily assume all risks of death, injury, illness, and damage to myself, and any damage to my personal property while I am volunteering my service. Furthermore, I the undersigned volunteer, do hereby release IAA, as well as their employees, and agents from liability for any injuries to myself or to my property during the time I volunteer my time and energies to serve with IAA, and I knowingly assume all risks. I do also hereby indemnify and hold harmless IAA, as well as their employees, and agents, for any and all claims of liability against IAA arising from, or related to, my volunteer service. I, the undersigned volunteer, expressly agree that this Statement of Volunteer Release of Liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law. I further state that I have carefully read the foregoing and understand its contents, and I voluntarily sign this release as my own free act.VOLUNTEER FIREARMS POLICY*For the safety of all our staff, directors, contractors, volunteers, and students, the International ALERT Academy has implemented the following handgun and firearms policy when actively working around the student body. Anyone who violates this policy will face appropriate disciplinary action, ranging from loss of privileges and demotion, to involvement from law enforcement agencies, and/or immediate termination or dismissal. OPEN CARRY PROHIBITED ALL: Pursuant to section 30.07, penal code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under subchapter H, chapter 411, government code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun openly carried. CONCEALED CARRY VOLUNTEERS: All volunteers that are staying in student housing are not allowed to store firearms with them in the dorms, but must secure them in a locked vehicle. Also, volunteers that are actively involved with student training may not carry firearms around students. I, the undersigned volunteer, agree to abide by this policy.STATEMENT OF FAITH AND DOCTRINE*The International A.L.E.R.T. Academy affirms the cardinal doctrines of Scripture that have been defended by historic statements of faith. These include the divine inspiration of Scripture, the deity of Christ, the original sin nature of man, the atonement for sin by Christ’s shed blood, and justification by faith in Jesus as the Christ. This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith and doctrine. The Bible itself is the source of all that we believe. We believe in the one true God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal from all eternity, each with distinct personalities but of one essence. We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is the sole, infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He entered into the world through the virgin birth, and lived among us without sin as perfect Man and perfect God. We believe that the Genesis account of creation is neither allegory nor myth, but a literal, historical account of God’s creation of the universe. We believe Adam was directly created in innocence and in the image of God and did not evolve from preexisting forms of life. By voluntary transgression, he fell; and as a result the whole human race is now sinful by nature and practice, and therefore under just condemnation to eternal separation from God. We believe Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross, taking the penalty of our sins and of all sinners upon Himself, was buried and rose again bodily, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, from where He will personally return. We believe people are saved by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and without any additional human effort or works. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the sinner; and regenerates, sanctifies, indwells and fills the believer for effective service. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal condemnation. We believe Satan is a living being and that hell and ultimately the lake of fire are places of eternal conscious punishment for him, his hosts, and all unbelievers. We believe that all authority is from God and that He has ordained and created authority structures to exercise His delegated authority within the jurisdictional limits described in the Bible for the family, church, civil government, and vocational relationships. We believe that God created people as either male or female and that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage between one born a man and one born a woman. We believe that any form of sexual expression that deviates from God’s design for mankind, as revealed in the Bible, is sinful and destructive. This is true whether the expression involves homosexuality, bisexuality, bestiality, transgenderism, incest, fornication, adultery, pornography, or other forms of sexual sins. We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one biological man and one biological woman for life. We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position and value before God as both are created in the image of God with distinctive, God-designed roles in the family and the church. We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Husbands and wives are to love, care for, and submit to one another. Children are a heritage from the Lord. Parents are responsible for raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end and any willful and deliberate early termination of innocent life is contrary to the will of God. I, the undersigned volunteer, hereby execute my subscription to the above Statement of Faith and Doctrine.Name* First Last Email* Date of Birth* MM slash DD slash YYYY Position Requested* Basic Training Cadre Battalion Leadership Digital Media Quest Leadership Other Other Position Requested*Dates of Volunteer Service* 1st Quarter [January 4 - March 8, 2025] 2nd Quarter [March 8 - May 31, 2025] 3rd Quarter [June 28 - August 30, 2025] 4th Quarter [August 30 - November 22, 2025] Other Dates of Volunteer Service* 1st Quarter [January 1 - March 8, 2025] 2nd Quarter [March 6 - May 31, 2025] 3rd Quarter [June 25 - August 30, 2025] 4th Quarter [August 27 - November 22, 2025] Other Dates of Volunteer Service* June 27 - August 8, 2024 Other Dates of Volunteer Service*Must be previously approved before adding other dates.
