The best way to know if the ALERT Academy is a fit for you is to come and see for yourself! We invite you to visit us either on ALERT Preview Day or schedule an individual campus tour.
ALERT Preview Day
7 Hour Event

Preview Day is free, and includes a complimentary banquet meal for the candidate and up to two guests.
Candidates who attend Preview Day will be given a $300 voucher to be applied toward their Basic Training fees.
Preview Day Schedule
11:30 am – Welcome Meeting with the ALERT Director
11:45 am – Walking Tour
1:00 pm – Q&A Session
1:30 pm – Basic Training Skills Demonstration
2:00 pm – Basic Training Drill & Ceremony Review
2:15 pm – Reception (Opportunity to view the 3rd Phase training displays and talk with instructors.)
3:30 pm – Basic Training Advancement Ceremony
5:00 pm – Free Banquet*
*The candidate and up to 2 guests (preferably parents or immediate family members) will receive this meal for free.
Who can attend?
The minimum age for a candidate to register for Preview Day is 15 years old. Younger guests are welcome, but they will not be eligible to register as prospective students for the event.
Lodging & Additional Meals
If you are traveling from a distance and looking for lodging in the area, you’re welcome to book a stay in our guest dorms on campus. You can also purchase any additional meals you may wish to eat at the Dining Hall.

Travel
If you are flying in, the closest small airports are East Texas Regional Airport (GGG) and Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (TYR). However, the closest large airports are Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL).
Please note that we do not provide transportation to/from the airport.
Individual Tour
2.5 Hour Event
An individual campus visit is a great way to get a feel for the ALERT Academy and decide if it’s the right fit for you! Your visit will include a guided campus tour, a conversation with a member of our leadership team, and the chance to connect with current students and staff during lunch on campus.Â
Because campus life is best experienced when classes are in session, we encourage candidates to visit during a weekday.
Typical Tour Schedule
10:30 am – Campus Tour
11:30 am – Meeting with one of the ALERT leadership team
12:00 pm – Join the current student body for Prayer Time
12:30 pm – Free Lunch*
1:00 pm – Visit the ALERT Store to check out gear (Optional)
